Dentist (Soft Architect)

Reminiscent of the Architect nib, the Dentist nib stands out for its softer feel, providing a smoother writing experience with minimal feedback and reduced scratchiness. It's excellent for everyday writing tasks. Thin on the down stroke and wide on the side stroke.

Bilateral (Fude Italic)

This unique nib, known as a Fude Italic, is expertly shaped from a 1.1 nib. It offers versatility with its double-sided design, featuring a Fude style on one end and an Italic style on the other.

Fude Nib

Fude means 'bent' in Japanese. These are specialized nibs bent at the tip to give it a curved or rounded surface area.

Fine Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and notetaking. Fine Italic has fewer line variations and is great for small handwriting.

Medium Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and notetaking. Still a very common nib with more line variations.

Broad Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and notetaking. Almost the best line variations.

Double Broad Italic Italic

A smoother version of the formal italic. Suitable for everyday use and big handwriting. The best line variation. Compare to 1.1 standard nib IBB has more line variation and more feedback.

Description

Check out this stunning Galen Leather exclusive: the Kaweco Sport Fountain Pen. It's a beautiful demonstrator pen that has a tinted, sapphire blue resin body and cap that's not only functional but aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

This has come about as a creative collaboration with Kaweco who are well known for their focus on beautiful utility and quality craftsmanship. And this is exactly what this limited edition Galen + Kaweco Fountain Pen is centered on.

Following their iconic original 1935 octagonal design, this fountain pen can be described as 'small in the pocket, large in the hand.' The oversized cap arrangement creates a small closed pen but a full-length open pen. Closed, the Kaweco Fountain Pen is just 105mm long. Open, it is 133mm long.

Made from tough but exceptionally lightweight ABS Makrolon plastic, the Kaweco fountain pen features the Galen Leather and Kaweco logo in gold-colored metal on either end of the cap. The polished gold-plated stainless-steel nib is manufactured by Bock of Heidelberg. Kaweco fountain pens are refilled with standard international ink cartridges, such as those made by J Herbin or Kaweco. Available in various nib grades and colors. It's the kind of pen that pairs beautifully with one of our fountain pen friendly leather diaries or fountain pen cases.

Love this pen!

I'm newer to fountain pens but love Kaweco and Galen so figured I'd start my journey with a well-priced one. I get it now... I got the 1.1 nib and it's smooth to write with! I can't wait to try other colors and more calligraphy-like writing. Hoping to collect more as they're introduced!

Great color great pen

I love the Kaweco X Galen Leather collaborations. This no exception, with the addition of the pen pocket it just makes it better. I had to order extra for some of my other pens.

Beautiful pen with fun custom nib

So I purchased the pen with a custom nib : dentist (soft architect). I believe it is a custom nib for Galen. It writes beautifully!! Thin lines downward and fatter lines left to right. It adds flair to regular handwriting! There is a nice feedback, not scratchy, feels very upscale.

It’s just ok

As soon as I tried to load a cartridge, the nib popped out of the section. Not sure that’s supposed to happen. The nib unit doesn’t seem to stay in very wel. Plastics overall feel poor. The dentist nib is great though so I may harvest it for my Liliput

Another one for the Sport collection

My first order from Galen included the Kaweco Sport in translucent Carmine along with the matching zippered pen case. I was back this year for the green - again getting both the pen and the zippered case. I have about 30 different Sports and these two are some of my favorites (love the smaller cases for holding all of them as well)

Adorable!

This pen is adorable!! I love the dental nib, I’ve never had one before and ordered it to just try something different and I love it! The pen sleeve is adorable too!! Such a great combination!

The special Kaweco you offer are top notch. I try to get them all. I believe I’ve only missed one. Great pens.

Pen is great, nib a fail

The pen is very nice and the lanyard good quality,
Sadly my nib grind CI wasn’t finished properly. The left tine of the nib was longer that the right and the nib had too much feedback that it was catching the paper. I could not write with that and had to grind and smooth it myself.
So no special grind next time,

Shipping

We ship worldwide. All items are sent via our shipping partners UPS/Fedex. Your items may need to be signed for upon receipt.
Due to security reasons, we cannot ship to PO boxes.
Some items are ready for shipment in our workshop, located in Istanbul. In stock items dispatch within 6-7 working days after payment has cleared using our shipping partners, UPS & FedEx. If the item is not in stock, then we will need to make your order.
Deliveries to USA addresses will take 3-4 days. For the UK and Europe, 2-3 days. To Australia, 6-7 days. For the rest of the world, expect a maximum of 7 working days. Plus production times.
Buyers are responsible for customs duties. There are no additional taxes for goods being delivered to the USA.
European Union : New rules after 1 July 2021; we charged VAT for orders up to 150€. It means no hidden or extra customs fees during the delivery. Orders more than 150€ subject to customs same as before.

UK : Orders are subject to VAT. Around %20 percent. + courier fees.
